Happy 250th Birthday, USA!
On Sunday, July 5, members and friends of Christ the King Lutheran Church gathered to celebrate the birthday of our beloved country with an All-American Cookout and Concert. CTK’s Men’s Quartet — Chuck Hodges, Cooper Smith, Terry Himebook, Jr., and Terry Himebook, Sr. — were joined by Chris Cardona on keyboard and special guests Caroline Johnson and banjo picker Peter Himebook for a dazzling performance of patriotic and Americana favorites. With plenty of flags to wave and nostalgic tunes, the crowd of almost 200 cheered and sang along. A special thank you to those behind the scenes decorating, grilling burgers, manning the soundboard, and solving logistical puzzles. It was red-white-and-blue fun for all!
